No.6 Harcourt Steet, Dublin
Project Brief
Goals: To produce a series of interior and exterior architectural CGI’s renders that assist in the planning application for the redevelopment of this historical building.
Background: No.6 Harcourt Street, Dublin is a historical and cultural landmark to Dublin and indeed Ireland. It has historic significance as was the operational headquarters for the Sinn Féin Bank between the years 1910-1921. it is a protected structure surrounded by similar Georgian styled buildings.
RME was tasked with producing a series on 3D renders to Conradh na Gaeilge’s headquarters at No. 6 Harcourt Street as an Irish Language Centre for the City of Dublin.
We worked closely with Conradh na Gaeilge (CnaG) & Burke Studio Architects to convey the transformation that is envisaged in this major redevelopment. Whilst maintaining the buildings original Georgian architecture and the construction of a new four storey over basement will allow for greater office space, the introduction of a heritage museum, radio studios, atrium spaces, multi-use theater etc.
Working from a supplied photo (with considerable lens distortion) we undertook some photo manipulation to show how the building will look with new pointed brickwork on the front elevation. For massing models we used Hi-Res drone imagery allowing for a number of viewpoints to be captured.
